The culture of Kohinoor Speciality Foods is built on “The Power of People,” an expression coined more than 75 years ago. In the early years, the Company sought employees who would take a vested interest in the business and contribute their skills to its growth. In return, those employees would share in the success of the business. That spirit continues to this day.

It’s driven by participation and the value of each employee. Our employees are the most important ingredients for Kohinoor Speciality Foods’s recipe for success. Employees are asked for their input and to take part in the decision-making. The legendary Multiple Management Board system was created in 1932 to formalize this philosophy. Thousands of employees over the years have experienced the MMB, made a difference for the Company and grown themselves in the process. The Multiple Management philosophy goes beyond the Board process to set a tone for the entire company that fosters open, regular communication among employees of all levels.

The way the Company has always valued each employee has made diversity initiatives a natural extension of our corporate culture. Kohinoor Speciality Foods has a Diversity Council, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, which develops diversity training programs, assesses the inclusiveness of our Company, builds awareness through various communications and makes strategic recommendations to top leaders. The Company is a two-time winner of the James Rouse Diversity Award.

The culture of respecting and valuing the employee is also evident in a comprehensive program to develop employees through training and other educational opportunities. Even in challenging times, leadership is guided by our Shared Values and is true to our corporate culture.
