Refresh your summer days with this berry smoothie recipe which has the goodness of oats. This smoothie is not just a great beverage but also is extremely healthy and filling.

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats 
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt 
  • 1/2 cup ice 
  • 2 tablespoons 
  • brown sugar 
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

 

  • Place the oats and ½ cup water in a blender.
  • Let soak until the oats have softened, about 15 minutes.
  • Add the blueberries, yogurt, ice, sugar, and ginger.
  • Blend until smooth and frothy.
