Simple to make dessert yet creamy, thick rich and absolutely delicious.

 

  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • 2 cup of cooked kohinoor basmati rice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp  salt
  • 1 tbsp  all-purpose flour(maida)
  • 3 cups  milk
  • 2 tsp  vanilla extract

 

  • Melt butter in a pan on medium-high heat.
  • Stir in rice and  sugar. 
  • Whisk flour into milk and gradually stir into rice; heat just until steaming, stirring often. 
  • Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 25 min or until rice is very tender.
  • Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon. 
  • Let cool slightly and serve warm or chill until cold. 
  • The pudding will thicken considerably as it cools. 
  • Sprinkle each serving with more cinnamon.
