This mild delicacy comes from the state of Meghalaya. On a day filled with spicy food, you could relish this dish to give a break to your taste buds from all the spicy food. Jadoh Recipe

Ingredient

  • 2 cups Kohinoor Basmati Rice
  • 400 gms pork, cut in cubes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. ginger paste
  • ½ tsp. turmeric powder 
  • 2-3 bay leaves 
  • 2 tbsp, vegetable oil 
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cilantro, for garnishing

Direction

  • Wash the rice properly and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a flat bottomed pan, sauté bay leaves, onions, ginger paste, turmeric and black pepper 
  • Fry till the oil separates
  • Add the pork pieces and fry for some time till light brown
  • Add the pre-washed rice and fry for 2-3 minutes, then add salt
  • Add 4 cups of water and simmer till cooked
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot
