A healthy and tasty breakfast recipe bursting with the goodness of Oats. Start your day by making this easy recipe that can me made in minutes.

  • 2 1/2 tbsp. - Oats
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables - (carrot, beans, cabbage)
  • Salt and Pepper powder to taste
  • Chop all the vegetables into small pieces.
  • Take a cup of water in a pan, add oats to it and bring it to boil.
  • Once it starts boiling, simmer and cook stirring from time to time so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Cook in low flame until it thickens and the oats becomes soft.
  • In another pan, cook the vegetables with less water adding needed salt. Once the vegetables are half cooked, add it to the cooked oats mixture. The vegetables should retain their crunchiness.
  • Cook both together for 2 minutes, add salt and pepper to tastes and switch off the flameTIP:

 

TIP:

  • You can cook finely chopped garlic (2 cloves) and a small bit of ginger along with the vegetables if preferred.
  • The consistency of the porridge can be adjusted according to individual preferences.
